MY Favourite Places to Visit
Osaka Castle
April 2008
Osaka Castle, one of the city's most beloved attractions, is a more recent replication of the original castle built in the 1580s. The re-building of the main tower was completed in 1931. Impressive stone walls, elegant gold-leaf trim and copper roofing make it a stunning exhibition of Osaka's past. An observatory is perched atop the eight-story keep, making it a great place for panoramic views of the surrounding area. Videos, models and artifacts bring to life the castle's former inhabitants in the heritage museum located inside the castle. Lovely grounds surround the park and make for a perfect afternoon stroll.
心齋橋 (Shinsai Bashi)
April 2008
This place is in the heart of Osaka city and represents the commercial and shopping streets of Osaka. A shopping town which allows you to spend a whole day....
道頓崛 (Dotonbori)
April 2008
This is close to 心齋橋 and also represents the heard of Osaka food and shopping area. In there is a building which in substance , is a food court, but decorated as an old Japanese street. Besides being able to enjoy all sorts of traditional Japanese street food, the place bears a strong cultural touch which made the entire meal extraordinarily enjoyable.

The aquarium occupies a massive area space. There is a good variety of ocean species inside the aquarium. What I like about this aquarium is that it is very orderly. Visitors will only follow one way as soon as you step into the entrance. You are able to see/ view the ocean species at different levels of the ocean. It is a place where kids will enjoy.
Before you leave, you will get to experience a close encounter touch of species like sting ray, small sharks and starfish.

Nara Park is established in 1880. It is the location of many of Nara's main attractions including Todaiji, Kasuga Taisha, Kofukuji and the Nara National Museum.
The park is home to hundreds of freely roaming deer. Considered in Shinto to be messengers of the gods, Nara's nearly 1200 deer have become a symbol of the city and have even been designated as a natural treasure. Nara's deer are surprisingly tame, although they can be aggressive if they think you will feed them. Deer crackers are for sale around the park, and some deer have learned to bow to visitors to ask to be fed. Kids will love this park.
Universal Studio Osaka (日本環球影城)
August 2017
Universal Studios Japan (USJ) was the first theme park under the Universal Studios brand to be built in Asia. Universal Studios Japan currently has eight sections: Hollywood, New York, San Francisco, Jurassic Park, Waterworld, Amity Village, Universal Wonderland and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
Universal Studio Osaka sells "fast passes". A word of warning to visitors - USJ gives the utmost priority to people who fast passes to rides. So if you do not hold a fast pass to a ride, you pretty expect to wait 2-3 hours for a ride. You can either buy a 3 ride fast pass, 4-ride or 7-rides fast passes. These fast passes are expensive so you are paying for less waiting time in order words. Whether it's worth the money, I will let individuals decide.

This is a very small cafe in some tiny streets in Osaka city, close to Umeda.
The food and drinks offered there are not special at all, but what is special about this cafe is that it has around 20 owls which cafe visitors are able to hold and pat. The owls are soo cute and beautiful, not to say, unexpectedly timid.
It is a very interesting experience which you will not be able to get elsewhere. Although I must say that I do feel sorry for the owls to be kept in such a small place all the time...
