Kuala Lumpur

Restaurant Fei Jay
2 Jalan Rimbunan Mawar 1, Laman Rimbunan Kepong, KL, Kepong

This is a casual restaurant owned by a couple.  This is not a big restaurnt, but the food served in there was supberb.  I especially like the curry fish head mei fun, and the signature crab.  Every time when I go to KL, this is a MUST GO restaurant.

The wife owner is called Fei Jay and is a friendly old woman.  You can see pohotos of TVB top actresses there, so you can guess how famous this restaurant is and how nice the food.

Madam Kwan

Madam Kwan combines elements of these diverse cultures to share her uniquely created Malaysian Cuisine for all food lovers to enjoy. From the signature Nasi Lemak to “wok” style Hokkien mee, there’s something for everyone to savour those special dishes that is uniquely Malaysian.  Since 1977, Kwan Swee Lian has always focussed on bringing Malaysian cuisine to everyone who would like to enjoy hawker or wok style treats in the comfort of a cafe-style restaurant.

Yu Yi Restoran (Buk Ku Teh)
53-56 Jalan Barat, Off Jalan Imbi

This is a local restaurant just off Jalan Imbi, serving local Chinese food.  Its speciality is Buk Ku Teh wher the herbal soup base is tasty and strong, yet not oily and feels natural.  The pork ingredients are of high quality.  Th previous Chief Executive of HK Mr Tsang has also been a visitor here and gave them a "Like".

Lot 10 Hutong

This place is located in the basement. It is quite easy to find. This is a food court comprised of some of the best known hawker food outlets in KL. Whilst this is more expensive than eating from the original stalls, it is really nice to be able to sample all the foods that are actually scattered round the city- a lazy option. My favourites are duck egg char kway teow (from the penang famous stall) Hokkien Mee (from Kim Lian Kee),  The stalls are scattered around in a Hutong design food court, thus the name.

Jalan Alor - Bukit Bitang

Jalan Alor is one of the most famous roads in Kuala Lumpur for food. Located just behind Jalan Bukit Bintang, it is basically a strip of atmospheric air-conditioned Chinese seafood restaurants, with a row of hawker stalls set up on the five-foot walkway on both sides and plastic tables and chairs spilling out onto the road.

Restoran Ahwa (福建麵)
66 Jalan 14/48, Petaling Jaya 46100, Malaysia

This is a hawker place serving traditional Fuken noodles.  Nice food.  A very nice place to chill out in Petaling Jaya.
