PANCAKES Amsterdam

Berenstraat 38,  Prins Hendrikkade 48, Prinsengracht 277, Steiger 10

PANCAKES Amsterdam is a sure fire bet for anyone seeking their pancakey fix in Amsterdam. There are three cute locations to choose from in the city centre - in the 9 Streets, at Westermarkt, and one near Central Station - and a huge selection of sweet, savoury and unusual toppings available. Made using whole-wheat flour from a local windmill, these pancakes are as Dutch as they come, and we love the restaurant's modern take on traditional Delft blue décor.

It's a very small restaurant so the queue is long.  However, it is definitely worth the wait.  In there, you will need to try both the savoury and the sweet pancakes.

Mercado San Miguel

Plaza San Miguel, 28005 Madrid, Spain

This is a closed market where all tourists will go for very nice and delicious tapas.  In there, it feels like a tapas buffet where you can choose and try any sorts of spanish food you want.  There are also a couple of wine shops which allows you to eat and drink at the same time.  The only cons I would say is that this place is relatively expensive.  Without you knowing, you could easily spend up to Euros 50.

The food and service were great. Nice ambiance. We made reservations online via the fork and our table was ready when we arrived.  Actually I ordered a few dishes of tapas including garlic prawns, ham, croquette, etc.  They were all marvellous.  The suckling pig and the beef as main course were fabulous!  They have a wide variety of wine for you to pair your food too.

I especially like the room at the ground floor.  It's a like a dungeon base area where you can scream and laugh as loudly as you want to because nobody (besides the waiters) can hear you.  A place I will definitely revisit!!
