I love this place. This is a big resturant with many stalls at the lower ground of the restaurant. All stalls are selling traditional Vietnamese food, including Pho, Dry noodles with fried pork, spring rolls (steamed and deep fried) as well as Vietnamese fried noodles and fried rice.
It's ideal for lunch and can get seats rather easily. Although not air conditioned, the fans in the restaurant are good enough not to make you too sweaty. Highly recommended.

2 storey small French restaurant with very authentic French food. There is a wide range of wine to choose from and my favourite is their medium-rare steak.
Price is reasonable as well. A place that I love to revisit....

A stall selling Vietnamese sandwich. Vietnamese sandwich is one type of food that you must have if you visit Vietnam. There are many different ingredients for this sandwich, but my utmost favourite is Vietnamese Cold Cut Meat.
Pho Hoa Pasteur
260C Pasteur, phường 8, Quận 3, Hồ Chí Minh
This is a very local pho restaurant. Pho, deep fried spring rolls are my favourite. It's in District 1 and a pho restaurant that I need to visit everytime when I am in HCMC City.
Buffet Ganh Bong Sen
5/F Palace Hotel Sai Gon, 56-66 Nguyen Hue Blvd, District 1, HCMC
This is a buffet restaurant in a local hotel. This is a Vietnamese buffet, got 5 tables of Vietnamese food. I really enjoyed the buffet there because I can have all the Vietnamese food I want. The food is not superb but what I like about it is the variety of Vietnamese food you can try. The price is very reasonable. Worth trying.

When I was trying to locate this restaurant, it was quite scary. The building itself is very old and a bit ruined, and you need to walk 4 storeys up. But when the door is pushed open, a paradise is seen. The name is really fitted - THE SECRET GARDEN.
Not only is the atmosphere and decoration surprising, the food was amazingly good. It is really a home-cooked Vietnamese style and all dishes we tried were fantastic. Definitely one restaurant that is worth going.
